The Gibraltar Pro Life Movement is to hold a rally on Monday to oppose radical abortion Bill before Parliament.
The group urges the public to come along and send a strong message to MPs that Gibraltar values every human life.
The Gibraltar Pro Life Movement (GPLM) will hold a rally on Monday, 10th of June at 5pm to give members of the public an opportunity to register their concern about the abortion Bill currently before Parliament. The event will take place in Casemates Square from 5pm-6.30pm.
Speaking at the announcement of the event on Tuesday, Chairperson of GPLM Karenza Morillo said:
“This is a really important opportunity for Gibraltarians to come and hear about the radical new abortion Bill being debated at Parliament. The reality is that the Bill is being rushed through without proper debate and the people of Gibraltar have not been made fully aware of how extreme it is.
She continued, “We are urging people to come to the event to send a strong message to MPs that we value mothers and unborn babies here in Gibraltar and we call on MPs to reject this Bill until we can have a proper conversation about how we can best care for women in unplanned pregnancy and for families in vulnerable situations.
The event will be addressed by speakers from Gibraltar and overseas. The event is family friendly and activities for children will be available.
“This Bill will involve a fundamental change to the laws of Gibraltar and the value we put on the lives of every member of our community, born and unborn. I urge those who value unborn children and their mothers to attend” Mrs. Morillo concluded.
